About Linda
I became a real estate agent 25 years ago because I just love houses. You may laugh, but even when I’m on vacation I love to go through Open Houses or walk up and down the streets and take pictures of different homes. (Of course, that’s if I’m not out on the golf course.) There is an old Moroccan Proverb that says “The first thing one should own is a home and it is the last thing one should sell, for a home is one’s castle this side of Heaven.” I started in Real Estate in the mid-80’s – those were “tough times”. Every other house on the block was for sale in Salt Lake City. As a result, I learned to work hard for my buyers and sellers. This knowledge has served me well throughout my career in real estate -- especially with the market conditions that we are currently experiencing in Salt Lake City, UT. A lot of the agents that came in to the business in the last few years didn’t have to work hard for their sales and as a result, when the market turned, they didn’t have the training and knowledge to get a property sold during the tough times. I give back to my industry and my community by teaching training classes to new and experienced agents -- sharing my knowledge and skills to create better Realtors and improve the perception of our industry. I was born in Salt Lake City, UT and I have lived here most of my life. My husband and I moved around to several other different states during a ten year period but eventually ended up back here where I consider it home. This is where I raised my two sons and now they have given me seven glorious grandchildren. I believe in staying informed and up-to-date with our marketplace, our community and our industry in general and I have the designations to prove it. BUT – (like I always tell my clients) “The only reason you care about my designations is because you know I have the knowledge and experience to negotiate the best contract for you and keep you safe. And if there is a problem that comes up, I’ve probably seen it before and know exactly how to handle it.” Over the years, I have established myself not just as a skilled real estate professional, but also as one who takes the time to get to know my clients, deliver outstanding service, and produce great results. It’s not enough to know about houses and neighborhoods (but I do). It’s not enough to know how to write a great contract (but I do). And it’s not enough to know how to protect your client’s interests (but I do). Being a successful real estate agent also means being truly devoted to my clients by listening, negotiating and communicating. It also means persevering. Because I bring all those qualities to my work, I have continually been one of the top agents in my area right from my first year in Real Estate. So . . . . when it’s time to buy or sell a house, I hope you’ll turn to me—Linda Bills, Your Key to Real Estate. I will devote all the knowledge, skill and dedication I have to understanding and meeting your needs and making your experience a pleasant one.
